Daily Kos: Scott Walker raises $4.5 million in... →
wilwheaton:
While volunteers were gathering signatures to recall him from office, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was allowed to receive campaign donations of unlimited size. Never one to shy away from talking to rich people, over the last five weeks Walker used this opportunity to raise$1,000,000 from just four donors, and over well $2,000,000 from 33 donors
During his time as governor, Scott...

I go to SportClips.
Oh god, the whole “Haircuts for Men” concept creeps me out.
Aw, SportClips isn’t so bad. They seem to know how to deal with guy hair, which I’m told is actually harder than most girls’ cuts. And for an extra 3 bucks they shampoo out the...

and that’s a stupid way to go through life.
Okay. But that does remind me how, years ago, I would get a kick out of mentioning to girls that I had never seen “The Bodyguard” — because of the bug-eyed, unbelieving gasp this would always produce.
These days a college grad is lucky getting an unpaid 60 hr a week internship...

Have you tried any of the vector converters out there? I haven’t, but am curious how well they work. Inkscape is open source, but I can’t install anything at work or I’d try it myself.
we use vector magic online, but you can also buy the desktop application. it’s by far the best vector converter i’ve ever used.

This book gives me more information about penguins than I care to have.
– In 1944 a children’s book club sent a volume about penguins to a 10-year-old girl, enclosing a card seeking her opinion.
She wrote, “This book gives me more information about penguins than I care to have.”
American diplomat Hugh Gibson called it the finest piece of literary criticism he had ever...

Wider plastic BMX platform pedals will suck less heat from your feet than metal, and will accommodate a wider shoe/boot. You can also wrap your feet in plastic (aka Sandwich Bag Socks) before putting them in the shoe. Holds in heat, keeps out wind.
Dude, the sandwich bag thing is genius!...

Putting this on my Amazon wishlist. I can “cook” in the sense that I can follow a recipe, but I have never gotten the hang of managing a cycle of shopping, preparation, cooking, eating, storing, reusing, and reheating.
